How to reach us from Daskalogiannis Airport?

Daskalogiannis Airport is located on the Akrotiri peninsula, about 20 minutes by car from Chania. Getting from the airport to the city should not be difficult. And you can reach us in several ways.

Arrange a Pickup with Us

We’d be happy to pick you up from the airport! Just let us know your arrival time and flight details, and one of us will meet you, greet you, and drive you straight to your apartment.

Taxi

Getting to Chania by taxi is easy. There is a taxi stand right across from the terminal, usually with many cars available. You’ll also find a board displaying taxi fares to various destinations in Crete. According to this board, the fare to Chania is €23, though in practice, it may be slightly higher.

Ask the driver to take you to Dodekanison 34, in the Koum Kapi district.

Bus

Taking the bus is easy, nearly as fast as a car, and much cheaper—definitely worth considering. To the right of the taxi stand, you’ll find a ticket booth and a bus stop. During peak season, buses depart every 30 minutes and reach Chania’s central bus station in about 30 minutes.

Price: €2.50 per person

On the way, there’s a stop at Agora. If you get off there, it’s just a 7-minute walk to the apartment.

Rental Car

There are many car rental agencies near the airport, and some companies allow you to pick up a car directly at the terminal. If you plan to explore Crete extensively, renting a car for your entire stay is a great option. However, parking can be a challenge, especially in summer when Chania has heavy traffic.

Price: €30-50 per day (rates vary monthly)

Parking

You can park for free along the streets near the studio. If you don’t find a spot nearby, head to the large free parking lot under the Old Town walls, listed on Google Maps as East Moat Theater Parking. It’s about 100 meters from the apartment.

For paid parking, you’ll find Regina Parking further away, near the Kriti Hotel.
